CNR-DSU Director Salvatore Capasso awarded at the Guido Dorso XLV Edition
DSU Director, Prof. Salvatore Capasso, receives the 'Guido Dorso' International Prize - Mediterranean Section. The Prize, now in its 45th edition, recognises personalities and institutions that distinguish themselves in the promotion of sustainable social and economic development, with a particular focus on the Mediterranean area.
Prof. Capasso is being honored for his longstanding and significant contribution to Mediterranean studies, for his work with the CNR Institute for Mediterranean Studies, with particular reference to the curatorship of the series Mediterranean economies, formerly the Report on Mediterranean Economies, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary . The judging panel, chaired by Andrea Amatucci, includes the participation of distinguished personalities: Raffaele Fitto, Minister for the South and Territorial Cohesion; Orazio Abbamonte, President of the Banco di Napoli Foundation; Maria Chiara Carrozza, President of the National Research Council (CNR); Francesco Saverio Coppola, Secretary General of the "Guido Dorso" Association; Matteo Lorito, Rector of the "Federico II" University; and Nicola Squitieri, President of the "Guido Dorso" Association.
